Mike Otworth

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mike is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PureCycle Technologies. Mike is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Innventure, the parent company of PureCycle. Prior to Innventure, Mike served as President and Founding Partner of Green Ocean Innovation for six years. Other founding partners included Dr. Harry Jacobson, Chairman of MedCare Investments and former CEO of Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Joseph Cook, Jr., Chairman of Mountain Group Capital; former CEO and Chairman of Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Vice-President Global Operations, Eli Lilly and Company. Green Ocean provided technology sourcing and innovation strategy and development services to Lilly/Elanco Animal Health primarily focusing on therapeutics, diagnostics and various medical devices. Prior to Green Ocean, Mike served as Vice-President and Founding CEO of multiple start-ups at XL TechGroup (XLTG). Mike was a key senior management leader of XLTG, which founded, capitalized and advanced companies successfully to late stage funding. Six of the late stage funding events included IPOs in New York and London creating $4.5 Billion of market value. Mike began his career on Capitol Hill working as a legislative aide and committee staff member in the U.S. House of Representative after attending Otterbein University and Ohio State University.

Larry Somma

Chief Financial Officer

Larry Somma has nearly three decades of experience in the corporate finance sector at world-class publicly traded companies within the plastics, manufacturing, hospitality, and consumer goods industries. Most recently, Somma spent eight years at LyondellBasell Industries N.V., where he served as vice president of finance strategy and transformation for two years and vice president, corporate treasurer for six years. In his role as vice president of finance strategy and transformation he was responsible for establishing and executing an operating model and organizational design for the global finance team, as well as creating an enterprise-wide strategy for shared services and end-to-end global process excellence. He also directed and oversaw all transactional finance activities, enterprise risk management and data analytics and automation.

Prior to LyondellBasell, Larry was with Hyatt Hotels Corporation where he held both the Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Capital Strategy and Senior Vice President and Treasurer positions during his tenure. Before Hyatt, Larry worked for Lennar Corporation, Sara Lee Corporation, Fisher Scientific International and General Motors Corporation in different finance roles, including an expatriate assignment in London, England.

Larry has Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering as well as a Master of Engineering degree in engineering management from Cornell University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from State University of New York at Buffalo.

David Brenner

Chief Commercial Officer

David Brenner is a data driven executional leader. David brings 15 years of experience in leading and delivering transformational projects across a wide range of industries and was hire #1 to bring PureCycle Technologies to life operationally. David focuses on building the strategy and driving overall business execution, including leading the global expansion team and working closely with finance and capital markets leadership to drive capitalization efforts.

Prior to joining PureCycle, David held the position of Senior Manager at Deloitte. David earned his MBA from Texas A&M and holds a B.A. in Business Administration, Operations Management from The University of Texas.

Dustin Olson

Chief Operating Officer

Dustin Olson is chief operating officer for PureCycle Technologies and leads all global operations including manufacturing, procurement, sustainability, commercial sales, and joint venture partnerships. PureCycle’s mission to transform the world’s polypropylene recycling industry builds upon Olson’s solid leadership principles as he works to reimagine the day-to-day business environment. Olson values collaboration and embraces diversity to create high-functioning teams and encourage better decision making. His breadth of experience creates a unique cross-functional and cross-cultural perspective to draw alignment between diverse viewpoints.

Olson spent more than 20 years developing a diverse career path across refining, olefins, specialty chemicals, and specialty polymers throughout the United States, The Netherlands, and China. As a business leader in Shanghai, Olson was responsible for the Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East, and India business units, and led the successful regional integration of two major companies while achieving year-over-year financial growth. Earlier in his career, Olson held senior leadership roles in manufacturing, commercial, and business support functions in refining, commodity chemicals, and specialty polymer business units across the world.

Olson holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a Master of Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University. He strongly supports numerous educational endeavors as a Board Member for the Industrial Advisor Counsel at the University of Missouri-Rolla Department of Chemical Engineering (2009-12), the Rice University Jones School Alumni (2010-13), and the Steeleville High School Foundation (current). In 2021, Olson was honored by the Missouri University of Science and Technology as a new inductee to the Academy of Chemical Engineers.

Olson and his wife, Amanda, have three children and currently live in Orlando, Florida.

Tamsin Ettefagh

Chief Sustainability Officer

Ms. Ettefagh is the Chief Sustainability Officer at PureCycle Technologies. She has over 32 years of experience in the areas of recycling and plastics recycling, including implementing a recycling collection program, running the recycling operations for a manufacturing recycling facility, purchasing raw materials, and selling recycled resins for plastic recycling companies. Previous to PureCycle, she worked as a Senior Consultant both in an independent capacity and for major consulting firms in the plastics recycling space, focusing on strategy and implementation to advancements in process, primarily in polyolefins. She has consulted for agencies, banks, potential plastic manufacturers on market conditions, types of supply, and how to evolve and diversify markets for recycled resins.

Ms. Ettefagh has been an avid public speaker at conferences, symposiums, and in webinars for the past 25 years, and served on several Boards, including the Sustainable Packaging Coalition from 2019 to 2020. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Texas A&M University.

David Brenner

Dustin Olson

Chief Manufacturing Officer

Dustin Olson has held senior roles in manufacturing, commercial, and business support functions across refining, commodity chemicals, and specialty polymer business units while living in the United States, the Netherlands, and China.

As a business leader based in Shanghai with responsiblities for Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East, and India specialty polymer business units, Dustin led the successful regional integration of two major companies, achieved year over year financial growth, and built a strong organizational and project foundation.

Olson holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a masters in chemical engineering from the University of Houston, and a masters in business administration from Rice University.
